Stay at home mom of two wonderful kids (Lolo age 4 months & DD 21 months). Married to my amazing husband (Mark) since 2015. My little family started in 2016 when I first found out I was going to be a new mom. I always knew I wanted children but when I found out at the age of 20 that I had stage 4 endometriosis and was told in the future I would have trouble becoming pregnant, I felt very discouraged. Once my husband and I got married, we decided to start trying for a baby. After a year of unsuccessful attempts we decided to undergo fertility treatments. That is when I was given the heartbreaking news that I had a low egg count of 9 and would have extreme difficulty becoming pregnant on my own because of where the endometriosis was in my body. That is when my husband and I decided instead of undergoing all of the procedures that would come along with the fertility treatments we decided it would be in our best interest to adopt. We went to an adoption seminar and 2 weeks later I got the amazing news that I was pregnant! Everything was going smoothly in my pregnancy until that Thanksgiving (8 weeks along) when I thought I miscarried. We rushed to the hospital and I had an ultrasound which thankfully showed her heart beat. The doctors described it as a "threatened miscarriage" and said "if I'm going to miscarry, I'm going to miscarry". We were devastated. Everyday until our next appointment with the midwives we were worried that we'd find out we lost her. Thankfully when we went everything was fine, her heart was beating strongly. We felt very relieved that our baby was healthy. Everything was good from then on up until the day she was born. However, she was born 3 weeks premature but healthy. She is currently a healthy, energetic toddler. 17 months later we had our baby boy. My pregnancy with him was easy compared to the last, although he was born 2 weeks early and spent 5 days in the NICU with fluid in his lungs. After returning home he was doing much better with no complications. I feel so blessed to have 2 healthy and happy babies even though things were tough at first. I can't wait to share the journey of the Johnston family.

Love this so much! I didn’t know all of this! ❤️
