Why I chose to put a @Hunterfanco ceiling fan in my kitchen!

My favourite room in my house has to be the kitchen. The kitchen is where a ton of memories are made and a lot of my time is spent. But if I'm being honest, before we started our updates it used to be my least favourite area in the room. It used to be super dark, outdated and things were beginning to break. A couple of the appliances didn't work and were super outdated. The tile was breaking and shattering all over the place. I even noticed my son chewing the floor tile one day (yes that was absolutely horrible). Since our house is open concept I figured it had a lot of potential. I decided to think long and hard and design my kitchen from top to bottom and start to finish. We spent a few days ripping up the floor, demoing the cabinets and tile. Once we cleaned out all of the mess, the fun really began. We picked out the colours, cabinets and countertops. Of course we picked out all white everything (super modern and bright). My father mentioned how I needed some colours or simply a different colour then just white somewhere so it wouldn't make it to plain. We decided to pair our white kitchen with a Grey Hunter Fan. What a difference it has made in the room since switching out the existing light with this Hunter Ceiling Fan.

Since we have a big family and spend a lot of time in this room, I found it super critical that we would have a nice modern bright light/fan to help circulate the air. Unfortunately in older homes they weren't really designed with the thought of "oh I need to set up this room for good air flow". Ceiling fans are known to help resolve that issue by circulating the air around the room and I've noticed a huge difference since we installed it.

Since our house is rustic but modern, we picked a fan that would be a great accent to our beams. Since our ceiling is vaulted and had beams, we needed something large enough to compliment them. Not only does it do that, but it matches my style to a T. Since my style is super simple, I ended up painting the walls white and picking out a white kitchen as well. One of my favourite accent colours is grey which is why I chose this fan style. We live near the water, actually across the street from the water so this fan reminded me of a nautical look which is what I am planning to decorate the rest of the home with (nautical items). The floor we decided to go with was dark as well, so the fan matched the flooring pretty well. When cooking dinners or hosting parties, I always end up becoming super hot and uncomfortable. I am up seating and not enjoying myself and having to leave and go outside to cool down I used to always feel left out but not anymore! Since switching to a fan in my kitchen, I am able to stay in the room, turn on the fan and cool myself down without missing any fun discussions or fun events. Another plus about having a fan in your kitchen is when you use an appliance that gives off a lot of heat such as a stove or oven, you can now turn on your fan to cool off yourself and the room. Have you ever cooked certain foods that make your stomach turn because of the smell? Well a ceiling fan can also help with that circulating and getting rid of the nasty smells while spinning. I wish I had this in my old home was I was pregnant with the kids. It would have come in handy for sure (sickness from smells).

Some of my favourite things about this fan are: The light bulbs that it came with are super bright making the room feel so much more beautiful. The fan is not noisy at all and comes with easy instructions to follow. I love how modern the fan looks and the colour is absolutely stunning. This fan gives me a modern farmhouse/rustic vibe which is exactly what I was going for. This fan isn't super loud which I love! I love the different speed options and the fact that it comes with a control panel that you stick on the wall (just like a normal light switch but with way more options which is fantastic).

As you can see, there is not one negative thing about adding a fan into your kitchen. This was honestly the best decision that I have ever made renovation wise. I'm so glad I decided to put my Hunter Ceiling Fan in my kitchen.
